International Student Information
We are pleased to offer the M-1 Visa for the International Students who wish to come to U.S. for their
pilot training.  Our staff is very experienced at helping international students through the process of
obtaining TSA approval to their required Visa.  Please contact us via email or telephone call with any
questions and we will be happy to assist you.

The M-1 Visa is best used for short-term vocational education experiences such as a private license,
commercial license or a full professional pilot program.
The maximum period for which an M-1 Visa may be issued is 12 months. If needed, the student may
apply for an extension to the visa of up to 12 additional months for a small fee. The student must leave
the country within 30 days after the expiration of the visa.
Prior to being issued an I-20, the application for an M-1 visa, the student must register with the
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at
http://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov/.  The TSA will
conduct a background check to verify that the student is not a risk to U.S. national security.
In order to be issued an I-20, the student must demonstrate English proficiency in speaking and
reading skills. Additionally, the student must provide proof of financial responsibility to cover all
estimated training and living expenses.
Upon receiving the I-20 from Privilege Aero, the student should apply for the M-1 visa at the closest
U.S. visa issuing agency (Embassy or Consulate General) for non-immigrant visas.
The I-20 will list a designated start date. The student may enter the United States up to 30 days prior to
the start date but must report to school by the designated date.
When on an M-1 visa, a student cannot change to a F-1 (academic) or an H status (employment) visa.
Privilege Aero is proud to offer housing accommodations for students. The housing consists of two
bedroom condominium apartments in which two students share one bedroom. The condos have a
living room, kitchen, dining room and 2 bathrooms with tubs and showers as well as a clothes washer
and dryer. (The master bedroom has its own bath.)  Each bedroom is furnished with two single beds,
desk, lamp, and clothing storage. The kitchens are stocked with everything you need including
dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking utensils. High speed internet connection is also provided for
students.   Shopping and restaurants, (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and American), are within a short
walk.
